Driving School Course in English

We offer a driving school course in English for those who do not speak Czech. Our instructors will guide you through both theoretical instruction and practical training in English, helping you prepare successfully for the final driving test.

Course prerequisites

The minimum age for obtaining a driving licence (Group B) is 18 years.

You need a medical certificate from a general practitioner, which must not be older than 3 months.

If you are not a citizen of the Czech Republic, you must prove permanent residence, study, or employment in the Czech Republic for at least 185 days before the test date.

Driving school application

The driving school application form and the medical certificate form will be provided by the instructor. Both documents are officially issued only in Czech and cannot be translated.

However, an instructor who speaks English will be happy to help you fill them out.

Final test

The final test consists of two parts:

• a theoretical test

• a practical driving exam

If you want to take the theoretical exam in a language other than Czech, you will need a certified interpreter. You may choose any language for interpretation.

You will usually take the practical driving exam with the instructor who taught you, but the instructor is not allowed to interpret or give advice during the exam.

Issuing the driving licence

The driving licence is issued by the Transport Department of the municipal office.

After successfully completing the driving school and passing the final exam, you must prove permanent or ordinary residence in the Czech Republic for at least 185 days within a calendar year.

Course price – English driving course

The driving school course in English is available only with the final driving test in Havlíčkův Brod.

Because the course requires an individual approach and instruction in English, the price is higher than the standard course.
